The membership

A senior Shopify developer on your team, month to month

Not a stack of hours or a stop-start project. A flat monthly partnership with the person who knows your store — a queue that’s always moving, direct access, and no lock-in.

See how it works ↓
  • Month to month
  • Direct async access
  • You set the priorities
  • No lock-in
The old way

Improving your own store shouldn’t cost this much overhead

Here’s how most Shopify work unfolds. You want one improvement — a new homepage section, a checkout tweak, a currency fix. Before anything actually happens, you have to:

“That’s a lot of cognitive overhead just to improve your own store.”

  1. 1Fully work out what you want before you can even ask
  2. 2Wait while a developer works out what you want too
  3. 3Go through discovery, get a quote, weigh the ROI
  4. 4Approve it — then hope it was the right call
  5. 5Realize halfway through it isn’t what you needed
  6. 6Start over, out the money you already spent
How the membership changes it

The monthly fee covers the relationship. Inside it, we just keep getting good work done.

No perfectly-scoped request required. If you say “go for it,” I start building. If halfway through you say “let’s pivot,” we pivot — no new quotes, no sunk-cost tension, no re-scoping documents.

You’re not buying hours. You’re buying partnership.

What you get

A developer in your corner, not a support desk

Direct, async access

You talk to me directly — the person doing the work — no account managers, no ticket portal. Come at the idea stage: “Is this possible?” “Would this help conversion?”

A queue that’s always moving

A prioritized board of improvements, fixes, and features, worked steadily every month. You decide what matters most; I work through it.

Honest scoping

Before I start, you get a realistic sense of effort and timing — and honest pushback if something isn’t worth building. Every membership also includes 1-on-1 meetings to keep priorities on track.

Strategy on tap

Advice on apps, integrations, and platform decisions whenever you need it. We figure out whether to build it, buy it, or rethink it — together.

Everything in one place

Your own project board in Basecamp. Nothing disappears into email threads or Slack noise, and every membership includes 1-on-1 meetings.

Flexible by design

It’s month to month. Pause or stop anytime — the membership has to earn its keep every month, not lock you in.

What a month looks like

You set the priorities. I keep the queue moving.

  1. 01

    You fill the board

Add tasks and set their priority — big builds, small tweaks, or just “is this a good idea?”

  2. 02

    I scope each one

You get a realistic sense of effort and timing, so you can decide what’s worth doing first.

  3. 03

    I work the queue

One task at a time, steadily. Urgent breakages jump the line — I’m not booked wall to wall.

  4. 04

    We review monthly

A short call to check priorities, strategy, and anything slipping through the cracks.

Scoped to you

A membership that fits your store

The monthly fee is not scoped from a block of hours. It is scoped from the level of delivery you need: turnaround expectations, type of work, process, and how much ownership you want Three Acres to carry.

Scoped to your store

Every merchant has different requirements. We work out what your store actually needs by looking at turnaround, type of work, delivery process, and how much ownership you want me to carry.

Touch points through the month

Check-ins set up around your cadence, so the queue keeps moving and you’re never guessing what’s happening or when.

1-on-1 meetings, at your frequency

Every membership comes with them. Some stores want them often; others just need a monthly touch point — we match the frequency to you.

Admin-only Shopify support

Essential Support

For merchants who need steady help inside Shopify, without custom code or a heavy process.

  • Shopify admin, products, collections, apps, settings, and content updates
  • One active request at a time
  • About a 1-week turnaround
  • Work happens in Three Acres’ tools and process

Custom code, clean process

Growth Support

For merchants actively improving the store who need faster implementation and occasional custom development.

  • Liquid, CSS, JavaScript, custom sections, landing pages, and CRO/test support
  • One active task at a time
  • Typical 2–3 business day turnaround
  • Work happens in Three Acres’ tools and process

Deeper ownership and strategy

Embedded Support

For merchants who want Three Acres operating closer to the internal team, across strategy and implementation.

  • Regular custom code, strategy, prioritization, and recurring planning
  • Multiple moving pieces across the store
  • Highest level of prioritization and delivery ownership
  • Work can happen inside your tools and process

These are fit profiles, not published price tiers. The fit call is where we decide which profile is closest and what monthly investment makes sense for the way your store actually runs.

Not sure what that looks like for your store? That’s exactly what the fit call is for — we work it out together before anything is committed to.

Membership vs. project quotes

Why this beats buying blocks of hours

A traditional agency’s incentive is utilization — keeping developers busy. Mine is to deliver value efficiently.

One-off project quotes
  • Scope and quote every single change
  • Sunk-cost tension when priorities shift
  • Re-onboard a new team each project
  • You’re buying blocks of hours
The membership
  • Come at the idea stage — no formal scoping
  • Pivot freely; we just make smart decisions
  • One partner who already knows your store
  • You’re buying steady, strategic progress

Not sure yet? Book a fit call — no commitment.

Questions

The honest answers

Is there a contract?

No — it’s month to month. It has to earn its keep every month; nothing here locks you in.

How fast do things get done?

The queue moves continuously and urgent breakages jump the line. Some tasks take a day, some take a week — it depends on complexity and the scope we’ve set for your store.

Is there a limit on how much I can submit?

There’s no artificial cap. I work with a handful of merchants, not as a dedicated in-house employee for one — so if I run out of time in a month, I tell you clearly. In practice, tasks get done.

Where does the work happen?

Every merchant gets their own project in Basecamp with a Kanban-style task board. Communication lives there, not in scattered email or Slack.

What if I just have one project?

That’s fine too — get in touch and we’ll scope it as a fixed project instead of a membership.
