Our Process
Similar to our Shopify Store Setup service, we’ll start a custom development project by sending you a questionnaire to get all of the store information we need, like business address, store email and legal information. This information will be used to setup a development store.
During this step we’ll also connect you with one of our designers who will work with you to determine the overall design and tone of your website. The designer will also help you frame design decisions with the goal of converting visitors into customers. Once they have enough details they will create a mockup of the website for your approval. Once this mockup has been approved it will be sent to the developers to create.
While the developers are working on the theme, we’ll work directly with you and your team to ensure that the Shopify Admin is setup correctly for your business. For example this includes things like, advising on the best shipping strategies, configuring sales channels that will work best and ensuring that notifications sent to your customers represent your brand. Regardless of what it is, we’ll make sure that it’s setup to best serve your business.
After the theme is completed we will configure it on the Development Store. During this setup the theme is reviewed and customized with your brand assets, colours and logo to create a unique site.
If you’re migrating products from another platform to Shopify, we can facilitate this migration for an additional fee and maintain SEO ranking with 301 redirects. Otherwise if you’re just getting started we’ll upload your first 10 products and show you how to do it. If you’d like us to upload all of your products, this can be added to the scope for an additional fee.
We don’t end there. Once your site is setup and ready to launch we’ll help you get the store open and do some lite SEO optimizations to give you a good start. We also offer a 30 day warranty for bugs and issues within the original scope. Most Merchants see their first sales within this period and we’ll celebrate that with you too!
We have ongoing development retainers and store management services if you need additional support after your store is live. We love working with our clients long term, and find many Merchants benefit from having ongoing technical and marketing support.
